Personal Projects
This page is home to a selection of personal projects I've created in order to push myself creatively, learn new techniques or just to have some fun. I will also try show my work as much as possible – both the good and the bad – so you can see some of what goes into my process. You only learn when you make mistakes and I am going to put mine on full display here.
Disneyland Hotel

My family stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and I had a fun time documenting the grounds with my camera. I really liked the sign at the pool - it is such a classic Disney design. I wanted to create an illustration of the photo I took with the idea being an homage to the classic title cards that Disney cartoons used with their characters. I also wanted to play around with an alternate color treatment as an experiment. I'm happy with the way it turned out and may try some additional colorways in the future.

La La Land

I connected with the music of La La Land much more than the movie. While I truly enjoyed the visuals and thought the movie was entertaining, the soundtrack created a spark of creativity in me. The song "City of Stars" inspired the visual below of the stars coming together to create the type of the title.
